Waves Festival

🌊 Waves Festival 🌊 celebrates its fifth anniversary in 2026, and this special edition brings together everything the festival stands for: music, atmosphere, connection, and above all the excitement of sharing an unforgettable weekend with all ages.

On Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July, the natural setting of Vijvers Markey once again becomes a lush green backdrop for a weekend full of experiences. Following performances by Preuteleute, Augustijn Vermandere and Gene Thomas last year, Waves Festival is stepping things up for this anniversary edition. With artists such as Gers Pardoel, LUNA and 2Fabiola, the festival once again welcomes big names to the coast.

On Saturday, the stage opens with local The Voice talent Metjoeww, followed by Level Six featuring Jo Hens (known as Niko in Familie). DJ duo Carlamote, known from Studio Brussel and Campo Solar, will close the first day with an energetic finale.

Sunday brings a slightly more relaxed pace, but no less intensity. The family day remains the beating heart of Waves, with space for local artists and emerging talent. Acts like The Shaman And His Spirits and Troubled Water deliver atmosphere and musical flair, while The Kicks return to the stage after their standout appearance at the second edition.

The festival extends far beyond the stage. Across the entire site, children, teens and adults can enjoy a wide range of activities: laser shooting (by Vianima), face painting, bouncy castles and giant games. From quirky hairstyles and meet & greets to dance workshops (with Ocho Veurne) and exciting surprises – there’s something for everyone. And the cherry on top: all activities are included in the entrance ticket and completely free on site. Children under 12 even get in for free!
