De Panne Beach Run & Kids Run
On 27 July 2026, De Panne hosts the Beach Run & Kids Run, a seaside race for all ages along the Belgian coast. Run across the widest beach in the country, with sweeping sea views and fresh ocean air giving you that extra boost.
This event blends sport, experience and a stunning course right along the waterline.
Whether you’re a casual runner or a seasoned competitor, everyone sets their own pace during the Beach Run. From a first taste of running by the sea to a solid sporting challenge…
The De Panne Beach Run is part of the ‘Loopcriterium van de Kust’, making it a must for anyone who enjoys combining multiple races along the coast.
For Whom?
- Kids Run (ages 7 to 12): Starts at 6:30 PM. The course is approximately 1 km.
- Beach Run (recreational): Starts at 7:30 PM at the Esplanade. The course is 5.5 km.
- Beach Run (competitive): Starts at 7:35 PM at the Esplanade. The course is 10 km.
Take the First Step
- Pre-register: Via star-tracking.be.
- Same-day registration and bib collection: At the Zeedijk near the Esplanade from 4:00 PM until 15 minutes before the race starts.
Practical Information
- All races start and finish at the Zeedijk near the Esplanade.
- There are no changing rooms or lockers available on-site.
- Public toilets are located 100 meters from the start.
- Joint warm-up for the Kids Run at 5:30 PM.
- Refreshment station available at the finish line.
Award Ceremony
The award ceremony will follow immediately after the race. Winners will be called to the podium per category. Prizes can only be collected during the podium ceremony.
- Kids Run
- Age categories: Boys and girls divided into two-year intervals, based on birthdate.
- Prizes: Top 3 in each category. All participants receive a medal upon finishing.
- Beach Run (Recreational)
- Prizes: Top 3 men and women.
- Beach Run (Competitive)
- Categories: According to the race regulations of the Loopcriterium van de Kust.
- Prizes: Top 3 in each category.

• By train: Adinkerke station + tram to ‘Esplanade’ (De Panne) - Prefer to come by car after all?
You can park in the green zone at Koningsplein or along Dynastielaan, both within easy walking distance of the start location.
